In 1920 the C.A.S. from Palermo localised in Piano Zucchi, began the building of the first refuge on the Madonie to shelter the lovers of the moutain and to celebrate this magnificent beauty and to show the way to let people know this interesting sicilian district.
The Refuge is open all the year and Mogavero's family who has been manager of the refuge for thirty years, will render pleasant your holidays and your weekends with a refined cooking based on typical products of the place and it's possible to book deliciousmushrooms, pork and wether, sausage that will be present on the table.
The Refuge will place the guides at your disposal, who will conduct you towards the natural paths of the Madonie. The refuge have 31 rooms, everyone with private bathroom and shower. Naturally are available various type of accomodations: from double to single, for groups.
